Speech is one of the basic forms of human communication and disruption of communication ability can negatively affect the life of man. deals with the elaboration of logopedic theory, which serves as a basis for the follow-up design and application creation in the field of speech therapy. The thesis is divided into five chapters. The first chapter deals with the history of speech therapy with an emphasis on domestic logopaedia, the logopedic intervention process in its entirety, and the differentiation of individual types of impaired communication skills. The second chapter focuses on a specific disruption of communication skills - dyslalia.The application for the treatment of dyslalia is determined by the application, which is elaborated in the third chapter. The fourth chapter contains a detailed description of the designed and created application, including an explanation of the processes running in the application when the application is being used. The last chapter of this diploma thesis contains a summary of the results of the practical testing of the application together with suggestions for improvement of the application.

The purpose of this final thesis is to find out about Speech Therapy and to design a device which would help with oscillation of human tongue when the sound r is pronounced. To better understand this subject first part of this thesis takes interest in evolution and physiology of human speech. Next the most common articulation disorder Dyslalia is named and methods for treating Dyslalia are described. In practical part the device for Speech Therapy is designed and created. It is based on frequency of human tongue oscillations and it helps to correct difficulties with sound r articulation. This prototype uses electric motor which is controlled by Arduino platform. Its rotational motion is converted to linear through mechanical construction simulating crank mechanism.
School maturity and preparedness of a child for the 1 st grade from the point of view of speech

The thesis focuses on the issue of school maturity and school readiness from the point of view of speech therapy such as its diagnosis and individual abilities that are needed for entering first classes of a primary school. The theoretical part deals with the characteristics of the preschool stage, school maturity and school readiness, registering for first class, the postponement of the school attendance, and communication disabilities of preschoolers. The aim of the empirical part of the thesis is to find out the standard of the school maturity and school readiness of children in an ordinary group as well as in a group with speech therapy of the same nursery. Tests are going to be used to find out the school maturity and school readiness such as Preliminary Test of School Maturity - verbal thinking, Test of Auditory Distinction - WM, Kwint Psychomotor Examination, and Examination of Language Skills for Preschoolers. Furthermore, the obtained data will be analysed and compared. The data collection will take place in Nursery School Zelenka in Turnov. The bachelor thesis focuses on children with autistic spectre disorder. In particular, it deals with communication and its specific problems of the children. The theoretical part concentrates on different types of disorders, verbal and nonverbal communication of autistic children and problems occurring during the communication process. At the end, it introduces the Son-Rise program which is a home-education program for children with autistic spectre disorder. Its main goal is to establish and develop a relationship with the child. The program has been used for more than 30 years. The practical part includes a research and six case studies related to children with autistic spectre disorder. The aim of the thesis is to map and characterize the manner and development of communication of adults with children who have been diagnosed with autistic spectre disorder. It detects the main problems in communication process and recommends techniques how to strengthen the relationship between an adult and a child, no matter whether it concerns a parent, a social worker or a teaching assistant. The case studies contain reports of parents documenting how the communication of their child has developed. The case studies are based on interviews with parents, some of them on email communication as well. The...

PaedDr. Jiřina Klenková, Ph.D. The thesis focuses on the problematics of communication disorders and in what way general practitioners encounter it in their office, especially with specific number of their patients considering their age, sex, and active speech/language pathology care. The thesis is divided into theoretical and research part. The theoretical part describes characteristics of communication disorders which are encountered by a general practitioner on a daily basis. More attention is given to aphasia, as there is a subsequent qualitative research. The research part is divided into a quantitative research that verifies set hypotheses, and a qualitative research which shows the communication disorder from a more specific point of view by using five different case interpretations. The research file included 1054 patients who came in the general practitioners office during 22 months, usually repeatedly. There have been four hypotheses set for verification.
